Photographer Overview
Greg Funnell is an editorial and advertising photographer with a London (UK) based Studio, working globally for a roster of international publications and clients, ranging from high end commercial clients to charities
Greg studied History and War Studies at Kings College London before moving into photography. He's since spent the last 10 years shooting everything from commissioned celebrity portraits, to travel assignments, in-depth documentary features and development work in the field for NGOs. He also works in the commercial and advertising sector producing campaigns and content for clients on international campaigns, especially in the travel, lifestyle and adventure industries.
His work for charities and NGO’s in the UK and abroad, involves being relied upon to deliver the goods in often unstable environments. Having worked extensively across Africa, South East Asia and Latin America for clients.
Although primarily known for his photography he has also increasingly been commissioned to generate moving imagery, having directed and produced work for NGOs, editorial, corporate and commercial clients. With his background in stills Greg is able to bring his experience and visual aesthetic across into film, creating evocative and engaging results.
Greg has also lectured on photography and the industry at institutions and universities throughout the UK, and has been approached as a consultant on numerous projects. He is full member of the Association of Photographers (AOP) a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society, and has completed Hostile Environment Training (AKE 2018) along with QA Level 3 First Aid in the Workplace (2018)
