About the Awards
The AOP Student Awards were established in 1981, to recognise and highlight emerging photographic talent which existed in further education institutions across the UK. Nearly 30 years later they have gone from strength to strength and are now regarded as one of the premiere photographic competitions for students around the UK attracting over 2,000 entries every year. Many of the AOP Student Award winners go on to become winners in the AOP Assistants Awards, and then even the AOP Photographers Awards, as we pride ourselves on nurturing talented photographers throughout their career. There are four categories in the AOP Student Awards with single and series entries accepted. It is free for AOP Student members and there is a small charge for non-members. Those selected for the final exhibition not only get their images shown in the AOP Gallery for two weeks, but also feature in the Student Awards book. |
