The 2012 AOP Students Awards - Exhibition opens tonight!
The Students Awards presentation evening is this evening at the Hoxton Gallery. The exhibition is hung and its looking fabulous! Doors open at 6.30pm. If you would like to come along too, please RSVP: awards@aophoto.co.uk

The 2012 AOP Students Awards - Exhibition next week
The Students Awards presentation evening will take place on Wednesday 16th May and exhibition will continue until Saturday 19th May, at the Hoxton Gallery. Judges, sponsors and industry professionals are already making up a great looking guest list. If you would like to come along too, please RSVP: awards@aophoto.co.uk

The 2012 AOP Students Awards - Entries closed
Entry to the 2012 AOP Students Awards is now closed and we are in full swing of preparation for the exhibition, which will be held 16th -19th May, at the Hoxton Gallery.
The Awards Presentation evening, during which the 2012 Student Photographer of the Year will be announced, will take place on Wednesday 16th May. Full details will be released shortly.

The 2012 AOP Students Awards - Testimonials from previous winners
Rachael Lowndes won a Judges Choice Award in the 2011 Students Awards. She feels winning the Award has given her both confidence and exposure. “The press coverage brought in enquiries which led to a collaboration on some editorial work which is getting me exposure and experience. I suspect it also makes people look at my website rather than ignore me when I contact art directors and picture editors - its a seal of approval for high quality work.”

Exhibition Venue and Dates

Hoxton Gallery, The Basement, corner of Drysdale Street / Hoxton Street, London N1
Set in the heart of Shoreditch, Hoxton Gallery is a multipurpose exhibition and event space sitting adjacent to Hoxton Square. The recently opened basement space retains its former warehouse features and combines them with a modern white-walled gallery.
Hoxton Gallery offers the perfect location for showcasing the best images from some of the UK's top up-coming photographic talent. For more info, click here.
Alongside the exhibition, there will be a series of talks and presentations within the gallery, which will be open to all. Further details to be announced shortly. | | |

The AOP Students Awards 2012
The AOP Students Awards were established in 1981, to recognise and highlight emerging photographic talent which existed in further education institutions across the UK. 31 years later they have gone from strength to strength and are now regarded as one of the premiere photographic competitions for students around the UK attracting over 3,500 entries every year.
The 2012 Student Awards call for entries is now closed and the competition is currently being judged.
