In the 8th AOP Open, our panel of judges faced the daunting challenge of selecting just 84 images from around 1,700 prints and digital submissions. The 2007 Overall Winner Award went to Shamil Tanna for his untitled photo of a girl playing in a rubbish tip. Shamil has been assisting for the past three years after graduating from Nottingham Trent University, and his winning image was also his first commissioned, taken to raise awareness of the problems of fly-tipping around Bristol.
