About the Awards

The AOP Assistants Awards annually showcase the best images from the next generation of professional photographers. In 2008 the AOP Assistants Awards were separated from the annual Photographers Awards, and they have an independent ceremony, with their own book and exhibition.

Winners from the AOP Assistants Awards regularly go on to win at the AOP Photographers Awards and success in the Assistants Awards often results in making the leap into professional photography.

The AOP Assistants Awards takes place annually in October and results in a two-week exhibition at the AOP Gallery and the AOP Assistants Awards Book and website.
